airbrush makeup

Well, my airbrush and compressor finaly arrived today leaving me a very happy boy.

I'll be even happier once i've figured out how to get the damn thing to work.

Does anybody know of online tutorials or FAQs regarding to airbrush makeup?

I don't, but I do know that the chaps who do the airbrush makeup for the monster crew are thoroughly lovely and extremely helpful. They have offered free re-sprays to Eidalon players in the past, and I'm sure if you ask nicely when they aren't too busy they'll be able to give you a few pointers.

Their makeup effects have been spectacular so far, so it's worth getting tips from the masters!

Watch out, you'll likely to be mistaken for either a Fallen or an NPC...

Well, thats going to lead to a lot of interesting roleplay then, isnt it Smile

especialy as i'm planning on using this prosthetic

That does indeed look awesome.

obviously, i'm not going to be able to get it to that quality without several hours in the chair, although i have a few ideas about how to reduce the time spent doing makeup (mind you, this is all experimental)

the prosthetic, is it hot latex? if so it would be the same as mine and I can say it would be worth going throug a dummy run a few times, and once you have the make-up to your liking, fix the mask with powder or what ever your airbrush make up needs. I did this after the first event I used mine and it rduced my appliction times down to about an hour rather than the fou or five it took first time. The left on make up isn't perfect, but it is a good basis for touching up hense saving the time.

so do the makeup once and then when you put the prosthetic on again, effect6ively your just blending the edges and the rest of the head?

if your using layex prosthetics i find it even easier to poaint on the bass coat

try using acrylic based inks and paints and isoflex to seal it all

depends on the amount of detail you are going with but in essence yes, i can ususally get away with redoing eye sockets and redefining cheekbones, asn blending the rest.

Neil and Rob are indeed a pair of fine Geeza's (if you've met there alter egos Fine and Dandy you'd know this already). I know Neil was talking about offerign his services to the player in return for beer and cash at one point, didn't know he was offering free touch ups (oo err missus) though.
You can check out some of his work at...

As for the mask, looks cool, is that one of scream teams ?
