Just thought I'd pimp a player event out to any loyal eidolons hanging out here! Memoriam is a player event in the style of Discourse (which was run by illithidbix on here - sadly his character of the time died and the new one has Fallen all over it, so I've inherited the mantle), and is being hosted IC by Constance Varas and Mardocai. It's a general meetup for discussion, debate and generally bringing the religious community closer together and giving us a chance to talk to each other while not run off our feet. It's being held just outside York on Saturday the 23rd of February, with (indoor) accommodation available on the nights before and after, and includes a buffet dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday morning. Sadly due to the nature of the event we cannot invite fallen or native eidolons.
Thought I'd also mention that this is the same weekend as the Foreign Fields LRP fair (www.foreign-field.co.uk) at Elscar Heritage Centre, which, apparently isn't a million miles away from the site. Now there's an added incentive...
I'd kinda like to go to a player event, but notice that this event is unsuitable for new world and fallen Eidolon. What about murderous ol' me? Would it be possible for me to attend, or would it create too many problems to be worth the trouble?
One of the things we're doing to make sure we don't horribly break player event rules is having a list of attending characters on the website (this is sparse at the moment because we only received our first booking yesterday! In other news we got our first booking yesterday! Wheeee!). Possibly once we've got more characters on there you'd be able to take a look at the list of people who'll be there and decide whether you'd be able to turn up without murderising anyone? If the attendees aren't going to end up as entrees I would have no problem with your presence.
That's a very cool idea! Although it does mean I'll probably wait until the last minute before booking, just to make sure I don't put other players off attending
The plus side, it won't be me trying with the head-bursting blood pressure. I won't be the one trying to stop my second in command from reigniting the frieboden-mill'enese war. Nor will I be asked to explain to Izzy exactly what a "fuck bucket" is...

Just to let people know the early booking date for this event is the 21st of January - bookings made before then will be charged at £20, after this point it goes up to £25. The booking form along with updated itinary and player lists are available at http://dmerry.googlepages.com/
